The Bugatti Veyron is a machine of numbers. Sixteen cylinders, four turbos, eight liters, ten radiators, and 1001 raging German horsepower, all tucked into a stunning ultra-luxurious coupe befitting only a king this is the mighty Bugatti Veyron W16 Engine.
With only 450 different examples built, you’d be hard-pressed to see one in the flesh. Though this mythical beast may be the news of yesteryear and we eagerly await it’s replacement, the Veyron is still without a doubt, an engineering legend.
The video below shows the beating heart of the Bugatti Veyron W16 Engine being hand built, and it truly is hand built. Each head stud is torqued by hand, the crankshaft is delicately laid into its metallic cradle and the whole thing is brought together by a few smart looking German gentlemen wearing white gloves.
While the Veyron may now be old news, it still is and will forever be an engineering masterpiece.
