Tuners know that there is so much more to boosting a Small Block then simply strapping an ebay ‘electric supercharger’ to it in hopes of making big horsepower.
Boost doesn’t refer to airflow, it refers to pressure, and a leaf blower isn’t able to make the sort of pressure required to increase horsepower. Even off the shelf turbo kits need some massaging to make serious horsepower. I’m referring to changing compression, installing forged internals, running high-octane fuel, you get the picture. However, get it all right and vola; hypercar horsepower can be yours. All you need is a small block v8, and a whole lot of boost.
